PantrySmart

Last updated: May 29, 2026

Overview

PantrySmart is developed and published by New Atlantis Studios (Nevv Atlantis LLC). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains what data PantrySmart collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

The short version: PantrySmart has no ads, no third-party analytics, and no New Atlantis account. Your pantry data is stored on your devices. Network access is used only for features you choose, such as barcode product lookup, local or online sync, StoreKit purchases, recipe sharing, calendar export, backups, and App Store services.

Data You Create

PantrySmart stores the kitchen data you enter or generate, such as pantry items, quantities, expiration dates, categories, locations, tags, notes, item photos, recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, price history, waste logs, scan history, sync settings, backups, and app preferences.

This data is stored in the app sandbox and shared app group storage so the main app and widgets can work together. Backup and export files are created only when you choose to create or share them.

What We Do Not Collect

PantrySmart does not include third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. New Atlantis Studios does not sell your pantry, grocery, recipe, or household data.

  • No New Atlantis account is required to use the app.
  • No advertising identifiers are used.
  • No third-party analytics or behavioral tracking SDKs are included.
  • No grocery, recipe, pantry, or household data is sold.

Optional Network Features

PantrySmart can make network connections when you use features that need them. Barcode product lookup may send the scanned barcode to a product database service so the app can retrieve product details. Sync and household features may transfer pantry data between trusted devices or a configured sync service. StoreKit is used for PantrySmart Pro purchases and code redemption through Apple.

These network features are part of app functionality, not advertising. You can use core pantry tracking without using every optional network feature.

Device Permissions

PantrySmart asks for permissions only when a feature needs them. You can manage these permissions in iOS, iPadOS, or macOS settings.

  • Camera access supports barcode scanning and food item photos.
  • Microphone and speech recognition support hands-free Cook Mode controls.
  • Photo library access is used when you choose to save or select photos and QR code labels.
  • Local network access supports nearby sync and local sharing with trusted devices.
  • Calendar access is used only when you export meal plans to Calendar.
  • Notifications are used for expiration alerts, meal prep reminders, and app reminders you enable.

Backups, Exports, and Sharing

Backup packages, exports, recipe files, QR codes, and share sheets are user-directed. When you export or share data, the destination you choose controls what happens to that file or message after it leaves PantrySmart.

Children's Privacy

PantrySmart is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
