A local music collection usually arrives as folders, not isolated tracks. Each artist may have an album folder, multi-disc releases may add another level, and carefully named directories can be as important as the tags inside the files. PhaseShift v1.1 makes that structure easier to bring to iPhone, iPad, or Mac by letting Wi-Fi Transfer accept an entire folder at once.

Transfer from a Browser on Your Local Network

Open PhaseShift’s Wi-Fi Transfer screen, then visit the local address it shows from a browser on a computer connected to the same network. In version 1.1, you can drag a music folder onto the upload page or choose a folder with the browser picker. The transfer stays within the local workflow; it does not require a PhaseShift account or a hosted music locker.

Subfolders Are Scanned Automatically

When a selected folder contains artist, album, disc, or other nested directories, PhaseShift scans those subfolders as part of the upload. That removes the repetitive work of opening every album and selecting its tracks separately. It also makes large, already-organized collections practical to import in the same form in which they are stored on a computer.

Keep the Structure or Organize by Tags

Folder upload works with the new library-organization setting in PhaseShift v1.1. Preserve Folders keeps the relative structure supplied during transfer. Auto-Organize uses embedded artist and album tags to place future imports into Artist/Album folders while keeping the original filename. You choose the rule that matches the way you maintain your library.

Why Folder Transfer Matters for Lossless Libraries

Lossless and hi-res collections are often too large for piecemeal selection. They also tend to contain deliberate organization: separate masters, live sets, box-set discs, CUE-based albums, and artwork or documentation stored beside the audio. A folder-aware workflow respects that the collection is more than a list of songs and gives album-scale transfers a natural starting point.

Your Existing Music Does Not Move

The new organization choice applies to future imports. Updating PhaseShift does not rearrange files already in the library. That makes it safe to try the new transfer workflow without silently rewriting a structure you already trust. Version 1.1 focuses on getting new music into the library more efficiently while leaving the collection you have built exactly where it is.
